Romans 6:14 states, “For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.” So, since we are not under the Mosaic Law of the Old Testament, does the Old Testament apply to us at all? Should we read it or study it? Or maybe it’s just good for kids to learn some cool old stories like the flood and Daniel in the lion’s den. Well, we are going to start a new sermon series this Sunday at Christ Fellowship and it will focus on what we can learn from the big names in the Old Testament. Do we need to know anything about Moses or David or even Shamgar (who???)? Join us this Sunday morning at 10 as we start off with Abraham and see how a promise made to him still affects our world even today.
We are set to have a workday at the new building in Bridgeport next Saturday, the 27th. The owners of the building will put on a new, metal roof that day and we can either help them or do what we can to clean the place up inside or out. I hope you can join us.
